AFYA specializes in evaluating programs that address a range of health and social issues faced by underserved populations, including racial and ethnic minorities, women, children, the elderly, the homeless, people living in poverty, people with substance use disorders, mental health consumers, and other special populations.

AFYA uses technology-based solutions, including computer-based training and videoconferences, to facilitate the training process. We have support staff who are experienced in providing a full range of administrative services to support face-to-face training – from managing the registration process to providing onsite support at sessions.
Technical Assistance
Through our technical assistance (TA) services, we strive to improve our clients’ ability to perform and to share best practices and research advances. TA services are provided through:
- One-on-one consultation, either through site visits or via telephone;
- Work groups and lectures;
- Performance monitoring and evaluation;
- Conferences and meetings; and
- Sustainability assessments.
AFYA specializes in supporting peer-to-peer TA systems and in providing quick-reaction TA services. We maintain a roster of consultants in such areas as HIE/HIT, health disparities, mental health, organizational capacity building, service learning, and suicide prevention, among other areas. |
